Festival & Concert Photography

Images from the pit, the crowd, and backstage.

Hire me for festival, concert, and tour photography that holds up for your post-show socials, your sponsor recap, and your next ticket drop. Sacramento and the Bay Area are home. Travel is welcome. Decade in the pit, Sony A7 IV, and a credit list that includes PEOPLE Magazine coverage of BottleRock Napa Valley.

Festivals, venues, artist teams, and brands.

If you need photos that read as editorial and work as marketing, start here. These are a few of the briefs I take.

  • Press shots, portraits, and selects for editorial pitching.
  • Backstage, soundcheck, and crew moments where approved.
  • Delivery sized for press, DSPs, and ads.

  • Scoped paid-ad licensing and extended usage.
  • White-label production in partnership with your creative team.

Starting points

These are the shapes most briefs take. Every scope is quoted to the actual project, with pricing shared on inquiry.

BottleRock Napa Valley

Festival photography that ran in PEOPLE Magazine.

Festival · Napa Valley, CA Published: PEOPLE Magazine

Coverage of a major-market, multi-day festival

I shot headlining performances at BottleRock Napa Valley, including Wu-Tang Clan and Phantogram, with selects running in PEOPLE Magazine. Working the pit at a festival that size means balancing three songs no flash with the pacing of an editorial brief, and bringing back images that are usable at scale: for a national publication, for the festival itself, and for the artists.

This is the kind of coverage brands and festivals hire me for when they need pit-level editorial that reads credibly on both sides, inside the magazine and inside the recap deck.

Festival & concert photography FAQ

Do you cover Sacramento and the Bay Area at local rates?

Yes. Sacramento, the Bay Area, and the rest of Northern California are home turf. Travel beyond NorCal is quoted with travel and per diem on top of production.

What camera and gear do you shoot with?

Primary body is a Sony A7 IV. For vertical video, I bring a DJI Pocket 3. For larger productions I add a second shooter and relevant lenses to the scope.

How fast can I get images for social?

Same-day social selects are standard when they are in the brief. Full edited galleries are delivered within 7 to 10 days, faster on request.

What does usage and licensing cover?

Base scope includes the event and your organic social channels. Paid-ad usage, extended duration, exclusivity, raw files, press, and editorial reuse are scoped as separate line items.

Can you secure pit access for me?

Not by default. Accreditation and pit access depend on the venue, the festival, and the artists. I will tell you up front what I can help secure and what you need to secure before we commit a date.

Do you shoot both photo and vertical video?

Yes. If you want both from one hire, say so in the brief. For big festivals a second body behind the camera is usually the right call so photo and video are not fighting for attention.

Three fast questions

Email with these and I can usually quote in a day:

  1. Event, date, city, and expected call time.
  2. Deliverables you need (stills, vertical cuts, same-day social).
  3. How you intend to use the images (organic, paid ads, press).
